PARKS & RECREATION
MCE has designed parks, recreation, and competitive athletic facilities for a variety of client types including municipal, state agency, high school athletic, collegiate athletic, and minor league sports teams. Our experience includes working as both the prime consultant and within a design team comprised of multiple, specialized consultants.
These projects have included master planning and design for sports complexes including softball, baseball, and soccer fields; municipal parks with walking trails, basketball courts, skate parks, and playground amenities; state park projects including campgrounds, utilities, tent pads, picnic sites, and parking; aquatic parks including splash pads, pools and slides; and large collegiate athletic facilities including several projects for the University of Arkansas.
MCE provides grant funding application assistance for parks and recreation projects to our municipal clients on a regular basis. We are familiar with these applications and provide accurate cost estimates and preliminary design documents to assist municipalities in their efforts to obtain project funding to improve public amenities within their communities.
